PARTNERSHIPS

In partnership with The Pacific Community (SPC), The Fiji Ministry of Education and The Ministry of Education and Training in Vanuatu we have created PILNA TV for teachers in the Pacific Islands.

Creating PILNA TV

In 2023 and 2024 T2L TV partnered with The Pacific Community (SPC), The Fiji Ministry of Education and The Ministry of Education in Vanuatu to produce videos to support teachers across the Pacific Islands.

The PILNA (Pacific Island Literacy Numeracy Assessments) analysis identified that their students needed extra support in the area of reading comprehension. To achieve the best outcomes in reading comprehension the teacher must include these three types of lessons with each text

  • Orientation

  • Vocabulary

  • Comprehension

We developed lessons and videos on the orientation of a text, the key vocabulary in a text to give students a better chance of successfully answering comprehension questions.
